The Scaroni Family has been involved in American agriculture since the early 1900’s when the 1st generation of Scaronis migrated to California from Switzerland.
President and Founder Steve Scaroni, has worked in agriculture from a young age, just like his father and grandfather before him. Steve and his wife Brenda’s work ethic and drive for success allowed them to create their own harvest and packing company in 1983.
In 1983 and 1986 Matt and David Scaroni were born. They were raised living in an RV and chasing their dad Steve through the various harvest areas they worked in. At the end of their college education, they joined the Family business in the mid-2000s. Today, USA Customer Service and Production are handled by Matt, while David handles Logistics and Supply Chain. Brenda coordinates all non-profit community support efforts, notably in foster care support and Drug and Alcohol rehabilitation.
In early 2000, Steve and customer Fresh Express developed the Core Field Harvest (CIF) process, which is now an industry standard for iceberg and romaine salads.
